The whole reason I bought this game is because it is my fav movie. It is a great game with very fun battles and also teaches battle strategy eg some moves do more damage when your opponent is "wounded" so if you use an attack that wounds your opponent and THEN use the first attack you do more damage.I haven"t tried multiplayer because none of my friends have the game but I hope I can try it soon.
Also, you can forge armour for your dragon using your breath and the touch screen
Overall,this is a 5 star game.

There was a very thorough review for the Wii version of the game, so I took a chance that the DS version would be as good for my two boys (5 & 8). We just received the games yesterday and so far they've had a lot of fun playing it. The quests seem very simple (just go to the next place with the big yellow star) so even though my 5 year old can't read he can still do just fine with it. They started playing it and then asked for some help, so I'm not sure if they missed some of the clues or if there are better directions in the box, but it did take us a little while to figure out the strategy for gaining new attacks and how best to use strategy when fighting the other dragons. My boys love modifying characters, so having a place to customize their dragon is great and they love simple battle games. From what I remember, the Wii review fits what we're seeing with the DS version too. The only complaint they've had so far is that the multi-player seems to be just to battle each other, which I would have expected, and not to hep each other along on their quests. Given the simple nature of the "quests" I don't think doing it together would work, but that's a kid's perspective. It's not like the detailed quests you do in Lego games like Star Wars or Indiana Jones, which they enjoy doing together and had in mind for "multiplayer" experience.
