This is a great game for any gymnastics lover or injured gymnast. (That’s me) However, the instructions aren’t very detailed. I’m up to the second to last place to go and I’m fighting for everything, and somehow my scores keep on depleting. Just to let you know, when you open up the game and get started, you may notice that there are diagonal lines to draw for different tricks, but when you try to put them in, nothing happens except for “Oops” appearing at the bottom of the screen. YOU MUST PUT IN A SIDE TO SIDE OR UP AND DOWN TRICK BEFORE YOU CAN ENTER THE DIAGONAL LINES IN! Also, what I found annoying was that though there is a picture of a girl with brownish-blackish hair on the cover, but you can not, I repeat cannot, change your hair color from redish-orangeish.

This game is pretty fun. If you have a child who loves gymnastics, this is the game to get! You can compete onn the bars, beam, floor, vault, and even freestyle. As you go, you can learn and master new skills such as handsprings and flips. You can even make your own character! The fault in the game is that it is hard to get started. I would definitely not recommend this for children younger than 4th grade. Even I, a 12-year old had trouble with it. But, after a couple days of practice, my 4th grade sister was able to figure it out and now she loves it. Overall, this is a great game for the gymnasts at heart, it just takes practice!

I bought this for my daughter who is 8 and a gymnast to go along with her new DS. Not only does she love it but me and her older sister (16) play it too! I would recommend it for any girl even if she is not into gymnastics. You get trophies for skill and it’s just a lot of fun.

My four granddaughters (ages 7, 8, 9 & 10) are all gymnasts. We gave them Nintendo Gym Rockets for Christmas because we were all leaving Christmas Day for a trip to NC and we wanted a new Nintendo game for the long car trip. The girls loved the game and played it the whole time we were away.

I am an ex gymnast who misses the “glory days” of competing and flying through the air.. I am 33 years old and I love my nintendo ds lite.. I have a pink one and the first game I wanted was the gymnastics game. I did gymnastics for 15 years.. and this was just great. My mom even played with it – 60 years old.. and she enjoyed it. I do agree though that it is hard to understand without directions or actually more detailed directions. My 6 year old definitely couldn’t figure it out. But for those 12 and above – old gymnasts, and even coaches – this is GREAT!
