this is a really great game for a young girl. there aren’t many out there. Just a step above Dora in difficulty. Not as hard as many other games. perfect for a 5-8 yr old. Great beginning game for a young child. There are a few spots where you may have to help them, but overall very well done.
Things to do:
– try to net pearls from the ocean (avoid the fishes)
– bounce coconuts into a basket (with barbie and elephant)
– trace pictures to help teach prince words
– catch fruit in a basket
– repeat bell sequences
– bounce bubbles with head which grow bigger until they pop
– many other things on higher levels
You win new dresses, shoes, and necklaces. very sweet.

If your daughter is into the barbie movies this is great. The graphics are wonderful cute game. Some parts are a little difficult even for 8yrs.old but it shows actual barbie clips from the movie, which is very nice for young girls or boys. If they like the barbie movie itself.

My daughter hasn’t played this game too much, because she got very frustrated with it almost immediately. It has been awhile since she played it because she prefers smartgirl’s playhouse because it’s so much easier for her to figure out. But I seem to remember that there were some parts in this game where you have to read the instructions. I could be remembering wrong though. But I do remember that she got very frustrated with several of the games…..they were too hard for her because of having to be pretty precise with tracing drawings, and having to be coordinated enough to move back and forth with the keypad to predict where a fruit is going to fall and hit it on a pillow once or twice to get it in a basket. There were other games that she was frustrated with. She actually cried with this game. And she yelled and screamed. She got very frustrated, and now if I ask her if she wants to play it, she says no.
Perhaps an older child who can be more skilled in fine motor skills, and who has the patience needed for this game, would like it.

Hi I’m a 21 year old Autistic adult gamer…
I love the Barbie video games and yeah I’m 21 and watch all the barbie movies too. I’m a big Barbie fan!
This game is awesome it will keep you busy for hours on end plus it has clips from the movie and bonus stuff.
Buy this game you like it!
Do not buy Barbie 12 dancing princesses unless it’s for the GBA the DS version is the same thing to a t as the GBA version so be forwarned.
Happy Gaming!
